I am Kuroko Tetsuya. I flew my way from the country of Seirin to study here in the Teikou College of Arts. Although it’s located in a foreign land, I pursued and did my best to be admitted in the school that will grant me of my dream to become an interior designer.

Teikou College of Arts is in a small country called Teikou, which is surrounded by 5 powerful countries. I just arrived in the Country of Teikou and took my time to sightsee after unpacking my things at the apartment I’ll be staying at. College term will start one week from now, so I better do this now before I regret not doing it.

As I strolled around the town, there were many shops that looked nice and colorful. The people also were very welcoming and heart-warming. I’ve seen the facade of Teikou College of Arts. It looked marvelous, like a castle. But, nothing beats a real castle like Teikou Palace. It is said, when they declare their love in front of the castle, your love will last happily forever.

Ahh, I want to experience that.
But then, I don’t have a special person in my life right now.

As I came to stroll in front of a bakery, I stopped to smell the fragrance of freshly-baked bread. It smells like vanilla. Maybe it’s a vanilla bread? I was supposed to go into the bakery, suddenly a black car passed by causing the puddle on the street to splash all over to my clothes.

I was utterly shocked. I can’t believe this. As I stood frozen, a beautiful black-haired person came down to the car and rushed to my side.

“I’m so sorry, Sir. Are you alright?” He asked. Is it my imagination or his face radiates like light? He looks like a girl up closely though.

“No, I’m fine." I tried to smile back at him, waving my right hand gesturing that it’s alright. The man looked very worried and wanted to compensate for my stained clothes.

"What’s taking you so long, Reo?” a voice suddenly came. Coming from the direction of the car, another person came down and walked to our direction.

His presence shines so brightly like a sun. Every step he takes is like a form of art, so beautiful and exquisite. His crimson hair lusters and sways lightly, like silk. He wore such extravagant clothes. His face is the epitome of perfection. He’s like….

…a prince.

“Ah,” the man exclaimed, “I’m still apologizing to this Sir, because of my reckless driving, he got splashed by a puddle and his clothes are now dirty.”

He looked at me up and down before he made a contemplating face. I was nervous even though I really don’t have to be. It feels like he’s scrutinizing me for something.

The red-haired man reached out his right arm to me and said, “come with me, I’ll compensate with has been done to you.”

I was surprised. I immediately raised my arms to decline.

The black-haired man named Reo said, “you should probably agree, since it’s a bad idea to continue walking around in town in those clothes, don’t you agree?” and winked at me.

I looked once again at the red-haired man and his outstretched hand. I just sighed and took his hand. He smiled radiantly back at me. I feel like covering my eyes before I completely get blinded at his perfect smile.

I went on his car and Reo drove away. I was feeling fidgety since the red-haired man was still staring at me. Somewhat gathering up my courage, I faced him. He was still looking at me with adoring eyes. I internally panicked and asked myself questions, but I need to ask the most important one yet.

“Where are we heading to?”

“To the Teikou Palace.”

I widened my eyes in shock. Why would we head there? Only nobles are allowed inside, unless this person is…

“Excuse me, Sir? May I ask who exactly are you?”

He just smiled and continued to look at me adoringly. Reo was the one who answered my question.

“He is Akashi Seijuurou. The crown prince of the Country of Rakuzan.”

I was flabbergasted. I can’t believe that I’m in front of a real-life prince, and not to mention, I’m in his car going to the Teikou Palace.

“We’ll be attending a ball tonight together with the other countries” Reo continued.

The red-haired prince named Akashi suddenly grabbed my hand gently and asked, “will you do the honor of being my escort tonight?”

“I… What…?” I was speechless and my brain couldn’t function well at the moment.

“My escort suddenly fell ill, leaving me all alone to attend the ball. Please accompany me for tonight…. Um, what’s your name?” He sounded apologetic.

“Kuroko… Kuroko Tetsuya”, I answered.

“Tetsuya. What a wonderful name,” He smiled at me. If he keeps on doing this, I might end up a goo because his radiant smile is too much that I’ll melt. “..please be my escort.” He pleaded while looking into my eyes.

I blushed and embarassed at the same time. Why would he ask me to be his escort to the ball? We’ve only just met today? My brain just stopped functioning. I nodded meekly at him.

Akashi smiled to me once again, “thank you very much, Tetsuya.”

I couldn’t stop blushing and be surprised for this sudden outcome of events. Oh God. What have I gotten myself into?
