“I can’t go out with you anymore, Tetsuya.” Kagami said to Kuroko. They went out for 2 years. Kuroko looked down, hiding his face with his fringe. He wanted to cry.
“Why?” He managed to croaked out.
Kagami gently cupped Kuroko’s face with his left hand. He saw that Kuroko wanted to wail his eyes out.
“Taiga-kun…”
“I’m going to be a priest now,” Kagami said. Turning around to walk away. “Goodbye, Tetsuya…”
Kagami left. He left Kuroko all alone.
He went to the top of his office building, leaning to the edge, ready to jump down to commit suicide.
“I can’t live my life anymore.” Kuroko said.
As he was about to lean forward, he heard someone chuckling beside him. He turned his head to his right and saw a red-haired man with black horns wearing a suit. His tail swaying back and forth.
Kuroko looked at him, as if waiting for the man to do something.
“I’m not going to stop you from jumping down,” the man said, opening his eyes revealing crimson and gold eyes. “Instead, I’d like you to continue with what you’re doing since your soul is going to be mine anyway.”
Kuroko just stared at him and said, “my life has no meaning anymore. I’m willing to give my soul to a devil, since no one will love me anyway.”
The red-haired devil chuckled once again. He stood up and grabbed Kuroko’s shoulders to face him.
“How about I show you the love you’ve always wanted?” He asked.
Kuroko just stared at him, confused.
“Form a contract with me and I’ll show you the feeling of being loved by someone.” The devil said, “it’s such a waste for you to die resenting your life like that. So, before I rightfully claim your soul, I’ll give you 10 days to feel that you’re loved.”
“Who’s going to love me…?” Kuroko asked desperately.
“I will.” The red-haired devil said.
